My name is Kelly M. Mercer and I want to thank you in advance for reading about me! I am a native of Atlanta proper and migrated to the Columbus area when my husband was transferred with his company (United Rentals) 17 years ago. We met my senior year in college and, after graduating with a BA in Psychology, I was a flight attendant for Delta and then a school teacher. When our first child was born I became a stay at home mom, and we fell into homeschooling our three children.
In the last 17 years I have gotten to know Columbus and surrounding areas through sports, church, the arts and just doing life! We have lived in both Harris and Muscogee counties and many of our friends have attended traditional schools. I worked for 4 years at Christ Community Church as the cafe/kitchen and special events coordinator, and resigned only to get our three children ready for higher learning. Our eldest plays tennis at Presbyterian College and we have two more launching in the near future.
I made the decision to become a licensed realtor because I have a passion for people and relationships. We have several family members who have been in the industry for many years. (my sister practices in Atlanta, a niece in Gainesville, GA, my uncle who is a partner/broker for a firm in Alexandria, VA and my husband's cousin who is owner/broker for his family firm in Athens, GA.) I have entertained the idea of becoming a realtor for years and, with encouragement from family and friends, I finally made the decision that it was time to again pursue my passion for serving others. (This time by assisting buyers and sellers make informed decisions about their sale and or purchase of real estate).
My pledge as a licensed realtor representing Coldwell Banker/KPDD, and as a member of the National Association of Realtors, Georgia Association of Realtors, Columbus Board of Realtors as well as working on my C2EX endorsement (commitment to excellence) by the National Board of Realtors, is to serve you in an utmost professional manner and to exceed your expectations. Aside from my pledge to serve you in buying or selling, I am happy to share my knowledge of the schools, programs, wellness facilities and providers and other amenities in the Columbus and surrounding areas. I would be honored to work with you, or with anyone you refer. Thank you again for your time and I look forward to serving you!
